Audio extractor FAQ

Can I extract audio from several videos for free?

Yes, without an account or watermark. Up to 2 files per batch, 100 MB per file, and 20 conversions per 24 hours on Free.

Which audio format should I choose?

Choose MP3 for listening and sharing, WAV for editing, or FLAC for smaller files without lossy compression. Opus is useful for small files if your player supports it. None of these formats can improve the original recording.

Can I extract just part of a video?

Yes. Set the start and end times before converting. You can choose a different section for each video in the batch.

Can I separate speech from background music?

No. The audio extractor saves the sound already in the video. Voices, music and background noise remain mixed together.

What if the video has no sound?

A video needs an audio track to produce an audio file. FastConvert reports an error if the track is missing. A silent track produces a silent file.
